Tanaka began his career in banking, working with high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients on financing and monitoring. He later moved into venture capital, focusing on investment and portfolio development. Since becoming independent, he has supported foreign clients acquiring real estate in Japan and worked on corporate, real estate and finance-related projects.
